WHAT THE PROS BUILD, AND OUR FREE VERSION

Researched from real tattoo platforms (Bookedin, Porter, Fresha, InkDesk, GlossGenius). They charge $30–$50/month for these. Each card shows exactly how we'd build it: what we hand-code, which free libraries or free APIs we use, and what we deliberately skip because it costs money. Everything runs on our own Hostinger.

Deposit via GCash QR Build in V1

No-shows are the #1 income killer in every platform we researched. Pros require a card deposit before confirming a slot.

How it's built1) The artist exports his static GCash/Maya QR from his own app (free) and we upload it once. 2) When he taps "Book session", the app shows the QR + deposit amount to the client. 3) Client uploads the payment screenshot (simple PHP file upload to Hostinger disk). 4) Lead status auto-flips to "Deposit pending review", the artist confirms with one tap. No payment gateway, no fees.

Digital consent waiver Build in V1

Pro platforms store signed waivers, health questions (allergies, skin conditions, meds), and IDs per client. It protects the artist legally and replaces paper.

How it's built1) One PHP form with the health questions. 2) Client signs with their finger using signature_pad (open-source JS, ~15kb). 3) PHP + dompdf (free library) renders the answers + signature into a PDF. 4) PDF saved to the client's record in MySQL. Client signs at home before the session, zero chair time wasted.

Auto reminders before session V2

Reminders with prep tips (eat, hydrate, sleep) the day before sharply cut no-shows on every platform.

How it's built1) Hostinger hPanel has free cron jobs, we point one at a PHP script running daily at 9AM. 2) Script checks tomorrow's sessions in MySQL. 3) Sends the client an email via Brevo's free tier (300/day, simple REST API). 4) Also pings the artist's Telegram with a ready-made DM template he can forward on IG in 5 seconds, since DMs get read more than email in PH.

Aftercare page + healed check-in V2

Pros auto-send aftercare instructions after the session, then a check-in around day 30 asking for a healed photo.

How it's built1) One static aftercare page on the site (Astro/HTML, written once). 2) When a session is marked Done, the app generates a unique link (random token in MySQL) and gives the artist a copy-paste DM. 3) The same daily cron checks for day-30 clients and prompts the artist to send the healed-photo link. 4) Uploaded healed photos land in the client record, free portfolio material.

How it's built1) The artist uploads design images + fixed prices through the dashboard. 2) Public grid page shows them with a "Claim" button. 3) Claiming creates a pre-filled lead (design, price, size already set) and marks the flash as taken so two people can't claim one design. 4) He posts the page link on IG stories. Pros auto-ask happy clients for Google reviews after the session, and route complaints privately first.

How it's built1) Google Business Profile gives a direct "leave a review" share link for free, no API needed. 2) The aftercare DM includes "Happy with it? Tap to review" (his Google link) and "Had an issue?" (a private PHP form). 3) Issue submissions go straight to the artist's Telegram instead of public reviews.

Pro platforms push Stripe/Square. In PH the realistic options are PayMongo or Xendit, and both take a cut of every transaction plus KYC paperwork.

Why we skip itIt would mean integrating a paid API (PayMongo/Xendit charge roughly 2-3% + fixed fee per transaction) for something GCash QR + proof screenshot already does at zero cost. Revisit only if he scales to a multi-artist studio that needs automatic reconciliation.

Newer platforms sell "AI employees" that answer DMs. At solo-artist volume, the triage form already removes the repetitive chat.

Why we skip itIt would need a paid LLM API (per-message token cost) plus Meta's webhook approval, and it risks weird replies to paying clients. Our scored inbox does the filtering for free, and personal replies are part of his brand. If volume ever explodes, this is the first paid upgrade to consider.
